We are watching yet another unbelievable set of circumstances unfold before our very eyes in which thousands of people have been forced from their homes. Fortunately, it seems that lessons of 'Katrina' are being observed as the state of California has thus far been ready with supplies, even in the San Deigo stadium.

Disaster
It seems that it is someone else's news until---it happens to us.
Most of us are not adequately prepared to run from our homes for our lives.
This past year we have experienced extreme weather conditions of all kinds which have led to a great deal of flooding and fires across the nation. There is increasing need to be prepared and responsive. This begins at home. We then move to plans that will assist neighboring communitites.
DART Will Offer Disaster Preparedness Training
for Churches and Individuals
One of the ways that chruches can help with disaster efforts is to be prepared. Consider these questions:

Is your church prepared in case of sudden disaster?

What is needed to be fully prepared?

Do you have a disaster departure route?

Do you have the contacts of local disaster response organizations?

How can you help your members be prepared for any eventuality?
DART will be putting together a packet for your church and is planning to offer upcoming training events. We are in contact with other local organizations that provide such training and we are learning of the dire need of most churches and families to become prepared.
