Clint grew up in the East, graduating from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in English in 1977. He received a fellowship in History from Tulane University and completed coursework for a Master of Arts in 1981. In 1982 he entered McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago where he met Deb and completed a Master of Divinity in 1985.  Deb and Clint served as Co-Pastors in Marion, Kansas before Clint became Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Crown Point, Indiana in 1990.  Clint and Deb have served as Knox's Co-Pastors since 1999.

The Reverend Deborah Roberts, Senior Co-Pastor

Deb serves as a Senior Co-Pastor with her husband, Clinton. In addition to preaching and pastoral care, she oversees both outreach and congregational growth. She was born in California and met her husband in Chicago while in Seminary. They now call the Midwest their home. Deb has a strong commitment to rebuilding congregations and to bringing spiritual renewal.

Deb and Clinton have two adult children.

The Reverend Cindy Karis, Associate Pastor

Cindy serves as Associate Pastor and part of the Pastoral and Program staff. As liaison, she provides leadership to the Church Life Council, the Congregational Care and Presbytery Relations Council and the Mission Council. She also oversees the Stephen Ministry team and the Deacons. Cindy was born in Athens, Greece. Her love of the Lord has motivated her ministry to serve others for the past 20 years. She also serves the community through the Naperville Interfaith Leaders Association. Cindy is married to Harold Bullard and they have one daughter.

The Reverend Robert Thomas Quiring, Associate Pastor

Robert serves as Associate Pastor for Youth & Young Adult Ministries. He was born in Oklahoma and felt called to ministry in the eighth grade.  Robert graduated from Austin College where he majored in religious studies and in May, 2010, from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.  During seminary, Robert felt called to live in another culture, so he spent a year in Kenya, Africa with the Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) program of the PC (USA) so that he could build relationships with people in that culture while serving God.

Jane Burkelman, Co-Director, Children's Ministries

Jane serves as one of Knox’s Co-Directors of Children’s Ministries. Jane’s programs include Sunday School for the school-year and summer, Prime Time which is a mid-week program for Kindergarten through Second Grade and WOW Kids which is a mid-week program for children age 3 through Kindergarten. She also enjoys participating in worship a few times a year and the opportunity to teach as it arises. Jane moved to Naperville in 2000 having always lived in the east: Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Before working at Knox, Jane had been involved with Christian Education for 12 years as Elder and Sunday School Teacher. Jane and her husband, Bruce are blessed with two children, Anne and Brian.

Jenny Hubbard, Co- Director, Children's Ministries

Jenny is very excited to be on staff as the Co-Director of Children’s Ministries. She will be working with the kids during VBS, mid-week and various other programs. Jenny has been a member since she was four years old where she was in the Caroler Choir program. Yes, if you do the math it has been a long time. Jenny received her B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation from Illinois State University and became the Day Camp and Support Staff Coordinator at Fox Valley Special Recreation Association. After working for several years she was lucky to be a stay at home Mom. Now she is ready to be back in the workforce and couldn’t be happier that it is at Knox. Her hobbies include singing, sign-language performance and dance. She and her husband Brian have three kids.

Jan & Curt Parry, Directors of Music

Under Jan's direction, Knox offers children’s choirs from preschool through 8th grade. She is also responsible for the weekly worship music and services.

Jan holds a degree in Music Education and has taught music K-8, directed children and adult church choirs, directed both youth and adult hand bell choirs, and has experience developing and participating in praise teams and leading worship.

Curt leads the Chancel Choir, and is an integral part of the Sunday Praise Team at the 10:30 a.m. worship services. Curt has a B.S. in Music Education, and a Masters in Administration. He continues to teach full time as Vocal Music Director at Naperville Central High School.
