LOAVES & FISHES

Loaves & Fishes Community Food Pantry

In Naperville alone, an estimated 4,600 or 3.1% of its 147,000 residents live below the federal poverty line.  15.7% of Naperville's female single parent households live below the federal poverty line.  13.7% of Naperville's residents age 65 and over live below the federal poverty line.  Over 1,000 Naperville school children do not have access to government supported summer lunch or after school snack programs.  This local food pantry, located at 1871 High Grove Lane in Naperville provides basic food, toiletries and home necessities for all in need of this service in the City of Naperville.

Hunger Sundays are the first Sunday of every month.  Loaves & Fishes donations will now be theme-based.  Please follow this schedule for your mothly donations.

Since food donations in general do not cover all the needs of Loaves & Fishes, financial support for the food pantry would also be very much appreciated.  Envelopes for financial support are in the pews.  Checks are always welcome.  Please make these out to Knox and mark "Loaves & Fishes" in the memo section. For every $10 you donate, Loaves & Fishes is able to purchase $100 worth of goods. The total food expenditures of Loaves & Fishes are between $15,000 to $20,000 per month. These amounts represent about half of the food that needs to be bought. The other half comes from donations. Thank you so much for your support.

Loaves & Fishes has expanded its food pick up hours. Consequently, more volunteers are needed to help out with the distribution of food, on Tuesdays and Thursdays especially. A complete list of volunteer positions, requirements, days, and times can be found on the website of the food pantry www.loaves-fishes.org under the "Volunteer" heading.  Please call the Volunteer Manager at Loaves & Fishes at 630-355-3663 before you go.
