WOMEN ON WEDNESDAYS

Calling All Women!  Whether you are a mom with young children or school-aged children, whether you are single, retired or somewhere in-between, Women On Wednesdays wants you...and your friends and neighbors!  This program is a Bible study for women, with childcare and activities for infants through Kindergarten.  Cost is $20 for an individual or $30 if you are bringing one or more children.

Philippians 1 was the subject of WOW on February 1. Paul said in verse 21 that for him "to live is Christ". We were encouraged to put our name in that sentence, "For me, (your name) to live is _____" and to fill in the blank with what is most important to us. While we might say Christ like Paul, often we have many other things we add on in that blank such as my family, my job, my travel.... It is these "pluses" that often become more important than our spiritual relationship with Christ. We also drew a box and were to honestly put inside the box 1 thing, value or person that represented our motivation for life. Then we were asked if we could change that - what would we want in there instead? Phil 1: 6 says that God..." who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion..." We're grateful that God never gives up on us! And we're identifying and praying for the work that we'd like to see God bring to completion in us.

The assignment for next week, Feb 8th is Week Three "Taking Care of That Attitude!" over Philippians 2 on pages 27-32 of the Study Guide. Rev. Cindy Karis will join us to talk on this chapter. It's not to late to come to WOW. Please contact Margaret Lambka  or Robin Kolar
